Evolution #8

The DNA sequences between humans, gorillas, and chimps are similar.  Humans and chimps DNA sequences match the closest, the gorilla still had some matches but not quite as many.  We could have also looked at similarities in looks and behaviors and also look at the whole genome to see which we are closest to.  Chimps and humans have a common ancestor is a pretty accurate statement.  We have similarities in our DNA with chimps but are clearly different than chimps.  Therefore chimps are not the direct ancestors of humans.
